Tea Room Memories & More Challenge Card

My next card share today is for the sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps. Here’s the sketch they gave us to try:

SSC184

Here’s what I came up with:

38392323_10211756243492541_1824890737456578560_n

Pretty much stuck to the sketch layout. The very top layer is a printed window sheet, so it’s mostly clear but it does have some gold embossed butterflies and bees on it. It was hard to get a good picture of it.

Here’s another view:

2

I used the new Tea Room Memories & More card pack so it was super simple and fast to put together! The butterfly is actually a sticker that comes in the kit. I used my embossing buddy on the back to take the sticky away so I could pop it up on dimensionals.

4

Sorry about the glare, like I said it wasn’t easy trying to photograph….no matter what angle I used it had that darn glare! I used a piece of the beautiful Tea Room DSP on the bottom layer. I just love this whole suite of products!

Well, I hope you like my card. Have a very blessed weekend! ❤

Poppy Blended Christmas Card

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

My card today is for two different challenges over at SplitCoast Stampers.

The first challenge we were to CASE a card from the Featured Stamper Jenny Hall’s gallery.  Click here to see her pretty card that inspired me!

Here’s how my card came out:

2

I used the same image she used from the limited-edition Blended Seasons stamp set. I changed up the colors to make it a Christmas card. My card isn’t a fancy fold card like she did, but I needed something fast since I haven’t stamped all week.  Her card is very soft and beautiful but looks intimidating to me with that awesome card shape and fun fold! 😉 She’s a really talented lady and very inspiring demonstrator. I will have to try her card shape another time, it’s very unique and eye catching!

Here’s another view of my card:

38239074_10211754777855901_1062958239156535296_n

The next challenge is a color challenge:

Poppy Parade
Lemon Lime Twist
Garden Green

colourlovers_com_cc698_abd89d84e6b495f0ba1c3f4c3bbaeafb9622380c

Here’s what I came up with:

3

I distressed the Whisper White Framelit diecut by sponging Garden Green ink all over it.  I then spritzed it with water and hurriedly dried it with my heat tool. I smooched it in ink and finally took a sponge dauber and added more ink to the edges.

Here’s another view:

1

I stamped off with Soft Sea Foam using the no line water color technique, this was my first time trying it! I fussy cut the flower image and popped it up onto some dimensionals. I used some gold sequins and gold Wink of Stella (for the flower centers) from my stash as well as some gold thread to add a little bling. I hope you like my take on these two challenges and how I merged them together.

Don’t forget that The Blended Seasons Bundle is a limited time stamp set for the month of August only! Don’t miss out, orders yours today!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend ❤

Sunday Stamps Waterfront Card

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I have another card to share today. This one is for the color challenge over at Sunday Stamps. Here’s the colors they gave us to try:

SSC183

Here’s what I came up with:

1_edited

I did use a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set that had some taller trees in it, but mostly used the Waterfront trees and images. I also used some sheer ribbon from my stash as well as the pearls from the Share What You Love embellishment kit.

2_edited

The sentiment is from another SU! stamp set listed below. I sponged the sky, and also stamped full strength and stamped off here and there. I also sponged the water in the light blue then stamping over it in the darker blue.

Global Design Project Challenge #148

Hiya Stampers,

Today’s card is for the challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the pretty card they gave us to CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit.

I really liked her layout and any chance I can get to use these DSP from Stampin’ Up! makes me happy!

GDP148_Connie Collins

Here’s my take on it:

1

I promise I did use the same DSP, my editing skills are using Instagram filters first, lol…..so, looks totally different…..but they are the same. I tried to change up the editing, but it was a fail…..so, I gave up after a few minutes of trying! One day I plan to sit down and figure stuff like editing photos out, but most of my spare time I just create instead 😉

37820355_10211704218031937_1636973407016845312_n

I fussy cut all the flower blooms from a different piece of DSP from the paper pack. It actually didn’t take too long. I put on worship music and went to town, took about 5-10 minutes all together.

37792542_10211704218711954_1915604093175332864_n

I forgot how fun sewing on a card is, not sure if you can see the stitching or not. I also used a different shaped focal point….but the card layout is pretty much the same.

Petal Promenade Card

Hi again Stampers!

I have another card share today. I feel like this card qualifies for the Global Design Project Country/Farm theme. It has that rustic, farm and country feel to me. I already did a card and entered it the other day. I checked their rules and didn’t notice anywhere that I couldn’t do two cards, but I will remove it if it’s not allowed.

GDP147_Theme_Counrty Life

There’s also a challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers to use Crumb Cake on your card under the Free For All Challenge on Fridays. So, I went for it!

10

I used Crumb Cake as my card base, as well as inking around the entire patterned papers with it, the floral frame wreath and the wood paper. I also stamped the flower image background onto the wood DSP in Crumb Cake…..and last but not least, I sponged crumb cake ink on the white doily (retired). Hopefully this qualifies enough Crumb Cake for the challenge, lol 😉

2

This Petal Promenade DSP is so beautiful. I fussy cut one of the wreath floral frames out and simply stamped inside it. I used some retired Stampin’ Up! lace ribbon which I thought matched the blooms good enough, not sure if you can even see much of it in the end result though.

1

I used some retired pearls as well, I had to cover up a boo-boo I made with ink 😉 I hope you like my card, I forgot how much fun sponging is! Don’t forget about the DSP Sale going on right now! Buy three packs and get one FREE! Click here to find out more!!!!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed night ❤

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

Hiya Stampers!

I made an alternative card using some of the project pieces that came in the July 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit.

37406487_10211666136799930_3465922373172068352_n

I used some  burlap ribbon and red sequin from my stash as well as some retired gold sequin trim from Stampin’ Up! Other than the white card base and red ink everything else is from the kit!!!!

Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin July 2018

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I got my Paper Pumpkin kit yesterday and couldn’t wait to play, such a super cute kit this month!!!! 😉

12

I only made three of the 4 baskets and I did alter the fruit a tad. When you punched out the fruit you had these negative holes there and I’ll admit, it bothered me, lol 😉

I backed each of the blueberry and apple holes with white cardstock then sponge ink on the white parts. I also backed the strawberry holes with black cardstock. I then sponged each of the fruits and leaves with the matching inks and shaped them with my bone folder for added dimension.

3

I pretty much did everything else according to the suggestions in the directions. This kit is so fun, even the envelopes are cute!

You guys, if you have ever thought about signing up for a Paper Pumpkin subscription…..seriously, what are you waiting for? Every month a papercrafting kit comes directly to your door to make great projects like these! Right now Stampin’ Up! is doing a Paper Pumpkin promotion!!!! You get it for 50% off your first month for NEW subscribers only!!!! Check it out by clicking here!!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day! ❤

Two Challenges

Hiya Stampers!

For my card today I’m combining two challenges. The first one is the farm/country theme over at Global Design Project.

GDP147_Theme_Counrty Life

I don’t really have any current stamps that meet this theme, so I just used a retired stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I hope that’s still OK to enter this card in for the challenge!

37361127_10211653926734686_4036688724690468864_n_edited_edited

I’m also entering this card in the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. The colors are Pineapple Punch, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral.

37303502_10211653926574682_7632463124750139392_n_edited_edited_edited

I water colored the little chick with the challenge colors then fussy cut her out and shaped her with my bone folder and popped her up on to some dimensionals. I used some sequins from my stash as well as some retired ribbons.

Here’s another view.

37318879_10211653926894690_5142056853907177472_n_edited_edited

I embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder onto a piece of Wood Textures DSP.

GDP #146

Hiya Stampers,

Today’s card is for the challenge over at Global Design Project! Here’s the sketch they gave us

GDP146Here’s what I came up with

36830025_1800647746679504_5704562896688644096_n

When I saw other examples of the sketch and they used flowers, I immediately knew I was going to use the new limited edition Blended Seasons Stamp Set!

The flower cluster image is a bit large, so the sample sketch layer on top had to be larger….so hope that is OK to do and still meet the requirements of the challenge. I used one of the fun shaped Framelits that comes with the bundle. It kinda reminds me of the old Top Note Die Stampin’ Up! used to sell….which I miss and love so much!!!!

Here’s a close up of the flowers, so much fun to color in!

36607443_284524585431202_8590612539702771712_n

I’m definitely not the best colorist out there…..that’s why I really like watercoloring. It’s very forgiving and I don’t try to think too much about it. I let each layer dry in between and added more color on top, but let the water do the work for me. I also colored two flower images and cut them up to place unto my card in a way that best fit the sketch. I used the retired Gold Wink of Stella for the center of each bloom, adds a touch of sparkle. Who doesn’t love sparkle, right?

Here’s another view…..

36602361_239117226815731_8753651516893560832_n

I used the Naturals White Cardstock that SU! used to sell too (it’s retired now, sorry)….I still have a TON of it! It just gives a subtle difference in the two whites to not be over done and distracting. The baker’s Twine is also retired…..I’m trying to use up what I have because I’m a hoarder, lol. Does anyone else have that problem? Surely I’m not the only one;)

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day! ❤
