Poppy Blended Christmas Card

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

My card today is for two different challenges over at SplitCoast Stampers.

The first challenge we were to CASE a card from the Featured Stamper Jenny Hall’s gallery.  Click here to see her pretty card that inspired me!

Here’s how my card came out:

I used the same image she used from the limited-edition Blended Seasons stamp set. I changed up the colors to make it a Christmas card. My card isn’t a fancy fold card like she did, but I needed something fast since I haven’t stamped all week.  Her card is very soft and beautiful but looks intimidating to me with that awesome card shape and fun fold! 😉 She’s a really talented lady and very inspiring demonstrator. I will have to try her card shape another time, it’s very unique and eye catching!

The next challenge is a color challenge:

Poppy Parade
Lemon Lime Twist
Garden Green

Here’s what I came up with:

I distressed the Whisper White Framelit diecut by sponging Garden Green ink all over it.  I then spritzed it with water and hurriedly dried it with my heat tool. I smooched it in ink and finally took a sponge dauber and added more ink to the edges.

I stamped off with Soft Sea Foam using the no line water color technique, this was my first time trying it! I fussy cut the flower image and popped it up onto some dimensionals. I used some gold sequins and gold Wink of Stella (for the flower centers) from my stash as well as some gold thread to add a little bling. I hope you like my take on these two challenges and how I merged them together.

Don’t forget that The Blended Seasons Bundle is a limited time stamp set for the month of August only! Don’t miss out, orders yours today!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend ❤
