Interactive Valentine’s Card

Hiya stampers!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. Today’s card is for the color challenge over at Global Design Project. It’s been awhile since I did one of their challenges. Here’s the color combo they gave us to work with:

GDP 225

YAY, Valentine’s colors!!! I started making this card with my hubby in mind, it might be too girly and froo-froo for him now. I’ll decide later, lol 😉

Here’s what I came up with:

83954702_1497189550430065_3443871259455127552_n

I used three different stamp sets and bundles from Stampin’ Up! to make this card:

Meant to Be bundle from the annual catty, Heartfelt bundle as well as Heart to Heart from the occasions mini catty!

Here’s some close up’s:

I had a lot of fun putting this together and used a ton of red bling to liven it up, lol 😀

From the moment I saw the arrow in the cute stamp set I wanted to try to make it a flap on a card. It works fine, but is a little delicate. If I make another one, I will stack at least two to make it more stable…..but it still looks cute and it’s functional. The fun-fold flap with the stamped arrow is held down by the punched out sentiment. You just gently tuck a little of the heart behind it as well as put the arrow point in front of it. It stays shut until you gently lift it out.

Here’s the inside of the card:

83268230_2782803078432423_938527813911183360_n

I made an exploding heart fold-out to jazz things up a bit. I did use all retired papers on my card as I have a ton of it to use up! My goal for 2020 is to use up stuff that I have horded and only buy what I need and love, and will use!

I do a purge every so often, but it’s still hard to part with things that you have bought because you really liked it…..but you can’t keep everything.

Follow me on social media as well as SplitCoast Stampers, or just contact me if you would like a list of items that I’m selling. I will add it to my blog too, so check back soon and often as I will be adding stuff to sell soon!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day! ❤

Butterfly card

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is for two challenges from SplitCoast Stampers.

The first challenge is for their color challenge, here’s what they gave us for inspiration:

cc775_8bdc9eff934d7cc4130a68826e2ae093a2427669

Here’s what I came up with:

82810790_641397379930456_2213994854415859712_n

I stamped the butterfly in the two purple colors, then layered a small butter fly on top in the green. We can add a neutral color to each color challenge so I stamped the flourishes in gray.

Here’s a close up:

83514432_175513020471702_7620163399271317504_n

The next challenge is for their Sketch Challenge. Here’s the sketch they gave us:

sc785_db9749bbb8d6c7ea26a54a5997971ea263037aad

As you can see, instead of panels, I added stamping. I also decided that a vellum circle behind the butterfly looked better than a square shape. I love how everyone can interpret the inspiration differently and change challenges up to be creative.

Pink Bees for Valentine’s

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is for the sketch challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us to use for inspiration:

SC783BW120

And here’s what I came up with:

83048588_689629881567864_4680874355268255744_n

As you can see I did scoot the banner panel strip over to the opposite side a tad for the sentiment, but other than that it’s pretty close to the sketch. I used Melon Mambo, Lovely LipStick and Flirty Flamingo as my inks.

Here’s a close up:

82003608_467040300658648_4352329814053486592_n I used the sweet little stamp set from the Mini Catty called Honey Bee from Stampin’ Up! I also used the FREE DSP patterned paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catty called Golden Honey, it’s a Specialty paper with golden accents throughout! So, I had to use the gold thread, Gold Wink of Stella as well as the clear Wink of Stella to add some shimmer. I added the sequins from my stash as well. Oh, and I almost forgot to say that I did a splatter technique all over the card after I was done with the gold Wink of Stella too!

Here’s another view:

82315429_3291426574261226_5599982109478354944_n My 17 yr old son is going to be my photographer from now on, he took these pictures using my Cannon Camera. I always kept it on auto cause I couldn’t ever figure it out, lol. He’s like a pro after only one day of messing around with it…..been taking photos all day!

Anyways, I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week! ❤

Scrabble Love

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I hope that you had a Happy New Year!

For today’s card, I got out some scrabble pieces for a Valentine’s card. I went by the sketch over at Global Design Project.  Here’s what they gave us to work with:

GDP222b

Here’s what I came up with:

81711220_3603983159626940_3104262697802268672_n

I used the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Bundle from the 2020 Mini Catty. I don’t have any new Valentines’s papers yet, so I used some retired SU! DSP from my stash from years ago. Yes, I hoard 😉

Here’s a close-up:

80777586_478922939434816_2050072372387512320_n

I’ve been hanging onto these Scrabble pieces literally FOR-evah!!! I added some bling from my Wink of Stella on the small center heart even though it doesn’t show well in the photo. I added the rhinestone bling on the end of the arrow from my stash too!

Here’s another view:

82945184_977521942647889_643605522230018048_n

I added some dimensionals to the heart to make it pop a little against the busy patterned paper.

I haven’t participated in one of the Global Design Projects challenges in awhile so I had fun! I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by, have a blessed weekend!

Little Lady

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! We did and actually will also have another one in mid January four hours away to see family, lol. It was postponed due to my little brother’s baby girls arrival, can’t wait to meet her. ❤

Today’s card is for the Color Challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers.

Here’s the color combo they gave us.

cc772_7e865cf852ca8b038af9d7e46424a0fe7cdab334

Here’s what I came up with:

81459240_584623095662932_4311065323051679744_n

I used the adorable stamp set from Stampin’ Up! It’s called Little Ladybug, it will be available on January 3rd in the Sale-A-Bration mini catty. You can earn it for FREE, that’s my favorite word, lol 😉

Here’s a close-up:

80652151_2585651334864133_92111878674710528_n

There’s a lot of fussy cutting and coloring going on here, but sometimes you just gotta do it. I used my Wink of Stella to give it the sparkle as the dessert option said “Winter or New Years Sparkle”. Since I don’t own anything new years, I just did the sparkle on the dots on all the wings….then all over splattering, and finally added the red sequins too.

Here’s another view:

80673845_544174762843618_2145014647395188736_n

I did a color wash on the Basic Gray cardstock with an aqua painter and ink. I also used my Stampin’ Write Markers and Blender Pens to color in each of the lady bugs. For the flower, I stamped it on watercolor paper and did a simple watercolor, but didn’t add a lot of ink to it….

And yes, I did fussy cut the sentiment too…..adding it onto a vellum banner, it just didn’t look right trying different ways to add it.

Well, that’s all for today. I hope you like my card. It’s my last color challenge as a Guest Designer for SplitCoast Stampers Color Challenge. I’ve had a lot of fun plus it kept me crafting as sometimes I get a little lazy about it, lol 😉

Have a very blessed New Year, 2020 is gonna be great I can just feel it!!!!! ❤

Pool Party Christmas

Hey there Stampers!

I hope you had a great weekend and have all your Christmas shopping done.  I still have some shopping to do, which is how I roll….always waiting until the very end, lol!

Todays card is for the newest color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers.

Here’s the color combo they gave us for inspiration:

colourlovers_com_cc770_871a211c0fc2c763042ee9e775f7173827529fe9

Here’s what I came up with:

79485489_785757805235981_132400067775561728_n

As you can see, I kept it pretty simple. I used the new puff paint from the holiday catalog to add some snow since that’s the dessert option this week. So fun to play with that puff paint!

Here’s a close-up:

81064118_588492881723957_4762054468432822272_n

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink onto some Pool Party Cardstock in silver embossing powder and heat embossed (for the metallic silver part of this challenge). Then I fussy cut it out cause I felt it was too much color for the sentiment after I was playing with where to add it on the card. This makes it not so bold I think and better fit the card design.

Here’s another view:

80467807_609763906444325_8562983891260932096_n

The big tree is popped up with dimensionals and I added a silver sparkly star on the top of the tree from Glimmer paper with an old small star punch.   The smaller trees are from the Merry Mouse stamp set and the Larger one is from Winter Woods. I stamped all the trees in pool party onto watercolored paper. Then water colored the trees with just a light wash using my aqua painter, then restamped the trees over the top of the images again to add back the details once it was all dried.

Well, I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a very blessed week before Christmas!!! ❤

Cup of Cheer

Hey there Stampin’ friends!

Hope that you had a great weekend! Today’s card share is for the Color Challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers!

Here’s the color combo they gave us:

colourlovers_com_cc769_2f538082c8d542357edc750389fa00f5631d427a

Here’s what I came up with:

78495337_3035451810013501_5161326963415056384_n

I made a color wash for the background on watercolor paper. I also was bound and determined to use this new Cup of Christmas bundle from the Holiday Mini Catty, as it fit perfectly for the dessert option with this week’s challenge. I felt the card needed a neutral color (besides the Whisper White) to bring it all together so I added Early Espresso to the color palette.

Here’s a close-up:

79389346_2660915587289666_7991729262090518528_n

I changed up this card so many times before the end result that you see here. It’s one of those things about making cards sometimes….you mess and fiddle to where it all runs together and it never even comes close to what you were trying to come up with.

Here’s another view:

80400460_564412464119333_1064217386128769024_n

Anyways, I finally got to a place that I was at least not hating it that I just stopped and had to go with satisfied because I didn’t like anything else that I was coming up with, sigh.

Have you ever been this way in designing a project? So frustrating sometimes dealing with yourself and coming up with the design stuck in your head, as my daughter would say to me, “You’re sooooo EXTRA!” LOL 🙂

Well, thanks so much for stopping by! Have a blessed week ahead ❤

Merry Moose Birthday

Hiya Stampers!

I hope that you had a very blessed Thanksgiving, we sure did! 😉

Today’s card share is for the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers!

Here’s the color combo they gave us:

cc768_f7bb9c6cf5d78cf9a0502afd0ee4aded933b5003

Here’s what I came up with:

79156308_563571764192590_6248055531567579136_n

I used some retired gold string tied around his neck for the gold color. The mini jingle bell is also retired as the jingle bells this year were too big.

Here’s a close up:

78300694_431866414147233_4906633551631351808_n

I simply used the tree punch in the Holiday catalog to punch out black trees for a background silhouette scene. Then punched with Shaded Spruce cardstock using the moose punch.

Here’s another view:

78143328_441738046475657_6304478817582841856_n

I stamped in black ink using the Buffalo Check background stamp on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Pretty easy card to put together. I gave this to my son for his 19th birthday this year and it fit as the dessert option too. Win, win!!!!!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by! Have a blessed week! ❤

Simply Thankful

Hello Stampers!

I hope your weekend was fabulous!

Today’s card share is for the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers.

Here’s the color combo they gave us to work with:

colourlovers_com_cc767_5f04edd8d231d7e288074375273cf145fa7482fd

Here’s what I came up with:

77416211_798369317290757_2935628293052825600_n

At first I was trying to use the  Lovely Lipstick as the focal color because I love it so much but it was throwing me off a bit with the rest of the fall-ish colors……so using it on the berries only here made it work way better!

Here’s a close up:

77380926_741291349701934_7050673168435904512_n

I used the Country Home stamp set with the retired Stitched Seasons Framelits from the Blended Seasons bundle from last year.

Here’s another view:

73381287_483774695564318_2741450489433423872_n

The dessert option was adding the Pumpkin Pie, which I did on the fern-like leaves in the stamped image.

The ribbon is retired Early Espresso from a couple of years ago with goes well with the DSP paper.

Well,  thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving. ❤

Christmas Easel Card

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you all had a great weekend. For today’s card, I made an easel card for the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. I am the guest hostess for this week’s challenge. I had fun picking out the color combo as well as the desert option! The colors I chose are:

Real Red, Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow

cc766_3f36febafa6993d76f5aed1b16353ade96f17b42

The Desert Option is adding some sponging on your card. So, I kinda made a vintage looking card with the sponging on all the panels, die cuts and even the stamped focal image.

Here’s what I came up with:

76706827_431314097807169_6076895930861223936_n

I stamped the rose from The Christmas Rose outline stamp in Early Espresso, then stamped the rose in Real Red and leaves in Mossy Meadow in the coordinating filler stamps.  I die cut the rose image and popped it up with dimensionals.

Here’s another view:

75481806_733650833807855_8111631791078506496_n

I used the gold glitter enamel dots that come in the Christmas Time is Here bundle as well as the beautiful gold shimmer ribbon.

Here’s another view of the other side of the card:

72629687_1378212935674833_227981395262177280_n

I sponged the sentiment with Early Espresso and then diecut it out with the dies that come in the bundle. This bundle is absolutely beautiful, get it while the gettin’s good, as the deal ends on November 30th! 😉

Well, I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week! ❤
