Birdie Card

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is a super simple stampin’ card. Stampin’ Up! is doing a #simplestamping challenge and this month’s theme is Valenetine’s Day.

I am also including this in another challenge. Over at Global Design Project they gave us this image to CASE:

I used the same stamp set as she did:

I used two stamp sets for my card with one layer. Here’s another view:

As you can see, this card is really simple….just stamping! I stamped off on the branches a couple of times here and there, but that’s it, easy peasy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, thank you so much for stopping by, have a very blessed week ahead โค

Playing with Butterflies

Hi Stampers!

I hope you all have been well. We’ve been sick in our house lately. As soon as one starts feeling a bit better, then another one gets sick…..the joys of a big family, gotta share everything, lol ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hopefully it’s moving on now.

Anyways, I was just playing with the new Beauty Abound Bundle….love it! Here’s what I came up with:

I cut out twice in vellum and twice in cardstock and then alternated them to place one on top of each other. This die set it huge!

I decided to use the negatives from the cardstock piece. Using ink, just made a quick watercolor look on the main butterfly to give it some interest. For the cluster on top of each butterfly, I used some retired elements and embellishments from my stash!

Here’s some close up shots:

The rose centers were cut from some rose ribbon that SU! used to sell. I watercolored them with ink, I really miss these and have one pack left so I tend to hoard them, lol!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day โค

Cupcake Card

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Today’s card is for two challenges. The first challenge is for the Global Design Project. Here’s the fun theme they gave us for inspiration.

Here’s my take on it:

I used some fun new products from the Sale-a-bration catty from Stampin’ Up!

Here’s a close up:

The other challenge is from SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the color challenge they gave us:

I used two stamp sets, one stamp comes from the Forever Lovely….the small cluster of hearts behind the sentiment. Here’s another view of my card:

You can earn this Hello Cupcake stamp set for FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase!!!! Contact me for the hostess code for this month if you are interested.

A Challenging Card

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you had a blessed Christmas!!!! We did ๐Ÿ˜‰

The title to this card is exactly how I feel about it, lol! It was a challenge from start to finish and took three days to complete, don’t let the simpleness of it’s looks fool you, lol! It’s for two challenges. The first challenge is a fun color combo challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the colors they gave us to work with:

I originally stamped onto WW and embossed the image thinking I would use Blends…..but I decided to use watercoloring instead. That’s one reason it was a challenging card, but it’s my fault for not restamping onto watercolor paper to make the job of coloring a bit easier….here’s what I came up with:

The next challenge was over at Global Design Project. Here’s the fun sketch they gave us for inspiration:

This stamp set has a matching framelit set that goes with it. After stamping and coloring I went to diecut it…..that’s where the other challenge came into play. I didn’t use washi tape to help make sure it didn’t shift during cutting which I usually do and you guessed it, it shifted! So, I had to fussy cut some areas and chop off some of the leaves cause they had holes in them, lol! Again, my fault…’s not like I don’t know these things, ugh!!!!!

Here’s a close up:

I almost threw this away and started over, I was just so frustrated…..we all have those crafting fails. But in the end, nobody would ever know… never give up, you never know how the end result will be ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s another view:

I used white on white, so you might not be able to see the sketch as is that way, so I dry embossed the white panel and added the lattice die cut to help differentiate it from the white base. I also wasn’t for sure if the ribbon would be Okay to replace the strip in the original sketch but after looking at some of the other samples, I decided to give it a go.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a safe and happy new year!!!! โค

Global Design Project #169

Hiya Stampers!

Long time no post ๐Ÿ˜‰ Sorry…life gets in the way, you know how the holidays can be…..

So anyhoo, today’s card is for the Global Design Project. They gave us a fun color combo:

Here’s my take on it:

I used some new goodies from 2019 Occasions Catalog.

Here’s a close up:

I used some retired Pool Party Baker’s Twine from my stash. Here’s another view:

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day โค

White Christmas with pop of Red

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I hope you all have been doing good. Sorry it’s been awhile, you know how it goes… and with Thanksgiving it’s been a bit busier. I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving with friends & family!

Today’s card is not for any challenges. Just something that I wanted to try out. It’s a conglomeration of lots of white cardstocks with a pop of color…..hence the title, lol ๐Ÿ˜‰

I dry embossed the white naturals cardstockย  and made it a shaker card. I filled it with snowballs and white fine glitter from my stash.

I inked up the deer with the shimmer paint, let it dry overnight then sponged the red over top after die cutting it out.

I used some glitter tape from my stash to die cut out one of the snowbanks. Then I added some shimmery embossing paste over the top. After drying over night I glued it on top on the other snowbank.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend is a blessed one โค

Blueberry Christmas Tree

Hiya Stampers!

Long time no post, lol ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sorry, life gets in the way sometimes of my crafting fun. Cest-la-vie :0

Today’s card is for the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers! Here’s the fun color combo they gave us:

Here’s my take on it:

I did use some retired Cherry Cobbler ribbon, love it! I added the dessert option which was to add sparkle to your project. I added Wink of Stella splatters and Shimmery White embossing paste.

Here’s a close up:

I also added two pearl decorative pins in the ribbon from my stash to finish it off. I added dimensions under each pop out tree branch……on this angle that I took this particular pic you can see it peeking out, but you don’t see them otherwise ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s another view:

I just noticed that you can see the splatter on the ribbon too, lol! I actually had to do two coats of the shimmery white paste for good coverage, it made it super thickย  and dimensional. I used the Thinlits from the now retired Blended Seasons bundle. I thought it really made a difference in the way the card turned out.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend โค
