White Christmas with pop of Red

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I hope you all have been doing good. Sorry it’s been awhile, you know how it goes…..life and with Thanksgiving it’s been a bit busier. I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving with friends & family!

Today’s card is not for any challenges. Just something that I wanted to try out. It’s a conglomeration of lots of white cardstocks with a pop of color…..hence the title, lol πŸ˜‰

I dry embossed the white naturals cardstockΒ  and made it a shaker card. I filled it with snowballs and white fine glitter from my stash.

I inked up the deer with the shimmer paint, let it dry overnight then sponged the red over top after die cutting it out.

I used some glitter tape from my stash to die cut out one of the snowbanks. Then I added some shimmery embossing paste over the top. After drying over night I glued it on top on the other snowbank.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend is a blessed one ❀

Fall Heart Card

Hiya Stampers!

I haven’t got to create any cards lately. I’ve been busy on and off with a big sewing project and it’s not going so well. This card didn’t go so well either, I’ll tell you in a bit. I wasn’t going to share it, but decided to go ahead. Life isn’t perfect and we all have those days, am I right? Has that ever happened to you? πŸ˜‰

This card is for two challenges. The first challenge is for Global Design Project. Here’s the theme they gave us.

Here’s my take on it:

Can you see the mess up? The ink smeared on the tree when I added the shaker top part.Β  Oh, well, I certainly wasn’t going to start over since I did that part last. I’ll end up giving it to somebody that won’t care, lol πŸ™‚

The next challenge is over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us. As you can see, I did an interpretation of the sketch instead of straight forward.

I love this Buffalo Check background stamp. It does take a little bit of practice to get a crisp image though, I will warn you. With a stamp positioning tool it really helps a bunch!

Well, hopefully you still liked my sample card. Thank you so much for stopping by, have a blessed weekend ❀

Guest Designer at Global Design Project

Hiya Stampers!

Today is super exciting for me, I am the guest designer for Global Design Project #153!!! πŸ˜‰Β  They gave us a really pretty color combo to use:

Here’s what I created:

I made a fun shaker card using the amazing limited-time Blended Seasons Bundle. The Framelits that are in this set made it a snap to put together! I used a piece of vellum for the bottom diecut and window sheet for the top. I added some sequins in the middle after using foam strip dimensionals to frame it up.

Here’s a close up:

I really love this patterned paper from the Nature’s Poem DSP. It’s so very pretty, even though you don’t see much here in my example. I embossed the leaves and water colored them using the new set of watercolored pencils that are also a part of this bundle. I then curled each leaf with my bone folder and popped some of them up onto dimensionals.

Here’s another view:

I fussy cut the leaves out. It doesn’t take that long if you have some good music to listen to and Elvis kept me company πŸ˜‰ (yes, I’ve always been a die hard E fan since I was 18 months old). And finally, I used several strips of retired ribbon stacked upon each other to finish off my card.

Well, I hope you like my sample and don’t forget to grab your Blended Seasons Bundle before time runs out…..only 4 more days til’ it’s gone forever!!!!! 😦

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❀

Mermaid Shaker Card

Hiya stampers!

I created a shaker card with the Share What You Love Bundle Suite and Magical Mermaid stamp set. I recently watched two different videos with the Mermaid stamp set, one was a shaker card and the other was a pop-up card…..so I combined the two!

Here’s the outside:

The inside uses the Lovely Laurel Thinlits, which are retiring sadly. Trying to get good pics proved hard to do.

Here’s the inside of the card

Well, thanks for stopping by have a blessed day! πŸ˜‰
