Under My Umbrella

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you had a fabulous Valentines’s Day. We did. Hubby and I went out to eat the night before, we’re smart like that, lol. He bought me a cute card, chocolates and roses today, even though I tell him every year not too. I also got my Stampin’ Up! order in and I was obviously more excited about that, lol 😉

Today’s card is for the sketch challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us to work with:

SC788022020CC (1)

Here’s what I came up with:

1

This stamp set is too cute, it’s called Under My Umbrella. It’s in the Occasions Mini catty right now. It has a matching punch which makes it super easy and fun to use. There’s also some matching DSP from the add-on coordinating product release which really makes it easy!

Here’s a close up:

I used the paper to just punch out the umbrellas, then used black cardstock to punch out the umbrella handles. I colored in and fussy cut the flowers and the rain boots out, then popped everything up with dimensionals.

Here’s another view:

2

I used my Wink of Stella for the rain drops and rainbow stripes. I was squeezing the sides and a big blob landed on it then I got some on my fingers which I didn’t know,  and accidentally smeared some on the card. So then I kinda went crazy and started splattering and adding more Wink of Stella to hide my mistakes.

Well, I hope you liked my card. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a very blessed Valentine’s weekend ❤

Incredible Like You

Hey Bleeps(blog peeps)!

I hope you had a blessed Easter weekend. We sure did!

For today’s card share I went with the challenge over at Global Design Project. They gave us a fun sketch for inspiration:

GDP186 - April 22 2

Here’s what I came up with:

57606655_2057227734578182_6078175521877786624_n

I did change up the sentiment a tad, but hopefully you can still see the sketch in my card sample. I used a beautiful Stampin’ Up! stamp set that is retiring sadly. I can’t believe it’s my first time to use it!!!!!

Here’s a close up:

58420218_386569272185539_7087135666957451264_n

I fussy cut one of the flower blooms and used some die cuts from the Wonderful Romance bundle. I used dimensionals to pop things up.  Using white on white for my cardstock layers kinda makes it hard to see. So using the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet with the border punch makes the other layer more noticeable.

Here’s another view:

57774964_2181396301950203_2555311919699329024_n

Finally I added some ink splatter at the last because I accidentally got a little bit of pink ink on one of the leaves, lol. The sequins are some from my stash that pretty much match the foil. Win, win! 😉

Well, I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a very blessed rest of the week ❤

Spring Butterfly

Hey there stampin’ friends!

Today’s card is for two challenges. The first is a sketch challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the sketch they gave us to work with:

GDP182 - March 25

Here’s what I came up with:

56119863_584412912062239_3360876084521336832_n

I used the oval shape from the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies instead of the square. I added Highland Heather Organdy Ribbon behind it to add interest. Both of these products are not available right now, boo! 😦

Here’s a close up:

55575832_619716088499169_397748644880580608_n

I fussy cut the butterfly image from the Botanical Butterfly DSP and added Wink of Stella to it!

The other challenge is from Sunday Stamps. Here’s the pretty color combo they gave us to use:

SSC201

Here’s another pic:

As you can see this beautiful patterned paper pretty much has all the colors they suggested! Win, win!!!!

Well, that’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a blessed day ❤

Berry Burst Lillies

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Today’s card is just for fun. I used some products from the Sale-a-bration catty. I did use some retired ribbon, but it matched perfectly and it’s what I had so…..use what ya’ got is my motto! 😉

54727840_1962291777230080_7621883074111864832_n

The small buffalo checkered patterned paper is FREE from the gorgeous butterfly dsp from the Sale-a-bration catty! If you love it, you better get it while you can!!!!! The Sale-a-bration deadline is March 31st!!!!

Here’s a close up:

The framelits that match the lilly stamps are so fun to work with. I really love this stamp and framelit set! Unfortunately the framelits are no longer available, boo 😦

Hello Beautiful Butterfly

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card share is for a challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the color challenge they gave us to work with:

GDP181

Here’s what I came up with:

54436926_320404551954044_7013681959440220160_n

I noticed when I was uploading the products I used on this card that three things aren’t available right now! Here’s a closeup:

54518919_421344188670942_6043964174629863424_n

The Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets, Lily Framelits Dies (used to cutout the shape for the sentiment) and dies that go with The Wonderful Romance Bundle aren’t available at the moment!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend! ❤

Simply Painted Seasons

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Today I have two easy cards to share. I simply used the DSP from the Sale-a-bration bundle and flipped a strip from the other pattern to add interest.

54255278_407350786490170_4061424068413358080_n

The cards are basically the same, just flipped the DSP of the patterns and used different sentiments from the fun new dies cuts from the Occasions Catty!

Here’s some close ups:

I used sequins for the dotted “I’s” and the Lemon Lime ribbon that I used is retired now, I still love it though! 😉

Here’s another view:

Well, I hope you like my easy and simple cards. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Cupcake Wishes

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is for the challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the Theme Challenge they gave us for inspiration:

GDP179 - March 4

Here’s what I came up with:

53568876_594511644358884_3979289214083661824_n

I mounted the cupcake onto vellum, then thought it needed a clear window sheet to go on top to make it look like glass…..trying to figure out how to adhere the the window sheet and vellum was a challenge. You can see little splotches of liquid glue peeking through the vellum layer(sigh), but was able to cover the dots of adhesive with the sequins on top of the clear layer. I always gotta make things difficult, lol 😉

Here’s a close up:

53498395_403874736857224_2572422760168947712_n

I used the embossing folder for the stem of the cake stand, not sure you can really tell or not. The thick white Baker’s Twine is from the Holiday Mini Catty.

Well, I hope that you liked my sample card. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a blessed night! ❤

Time for Tea

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Hope ya’ll been doin’ good. For today’s card share I’m using a sweet little tea stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I’m using the color challenge over at Sunday Stamps for inspiration! Here’s the pretty colors they gave us to work with:

SSC199

Here’s my card:

53260578_2254081358180860_6086758193680089088_n

I made an easel card. I had forgotten how fun they are 😉

Here’s a close up:

53318693_336407163646170_4409281131938054144_n

I made the label fit my sentiment better by shortening with the Framelit.

I used a couple of retired items on this card. The doily cut in half peeking out from behind the teapot and tea cup (you can’t see much of it, but still cute) as well as the Framelits for the main focal image (came from the Blended Seasons Bundle).

Here’s another view:

53641366_1954043088038270_1612153813215477760_n

I combined this stamp set with some of the other tea suite from the annual catty.

Well, I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Black & White Sympathy Card

Hey there Stamping Friends,

Today’s card is very sad for me. I had to make a sympathy card for my old neighbors when we lived in Georgia. She was such a dear sweet friend and I’m heartbroken that she passed away.

I’m entering this card for the challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the sketch they gave us for inspiration.

gdp174

Here’s my take on it:

51361446_385496435343679_5725810396254699520_n

As you can see I flipped the main image to work with my stamp set. I also scooched my sentiment over a bit and it’s not as long as their example.

Here’s a close up:

51088002_353841618679783_1771063587373056000_n

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set called Rose Wonder. I heat embossed the floral image in white on black cardstock then fussy cut the image out.

Here’s another view:

Life is just way too short and in times like this, it reminds me to be grateful for every moment on earth as we are never guaranteed tomorrow. Please pray for the family as they go through their time of grief.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Playing with Butterflies

Hi Stampers!

I hope you all have been well. We’ve been sick in our house lately. As soon as one starts feeling a bit better, then another one gets sick…..the joys of a big family, gotta share everything, lol 😉 Hopefully it’s moving on now.

Anyways, I was just playing with the new Beauty Abound Bundle….love it! Here’s what I came up with:

50155011_613064539145628_8877865179434450944_n

I cut out twice in vellum and twice in cardstock and then alternated them to place one on top of each other. This die set it huge!

49914665_633578173728503_4509114863594766336_n

I decided to use the negatives from the cardstock piece. Using ink, just made a quick watercolor look on the main butterfly to give it some interest. For the cluster on top of each butterfly, I used some retired elements and embellishments from my stash!

50664969_230458481235657_7194539957078196224_n

Here’s some close up shots:

50074681_222891501949746_1768284382755291136_n

50313524_321463361797407_3566902027873157120_n

The rose centers were cut from some rose ribbon that SU! used to sell. I watercolored them with ink, I really miss these and have one pack left so I tend to hoard them, lol!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤
