Time for Tea

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Hope ya’ll been doin’ good. For today’s card share I’m using a sweet little tea stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I’m using the color challenge over at Sunday Stamps for inspiration! Here’s the pretty colors they gave us to work with:

Here’s my card:

I made an easel card. I had forgotten how fun they are 😉

Here’s a close up:

I made the label fit my sentiment better by shortening with the Framelit.

I used a couple of retired items on this card. The doily cut in half peeking out from behind the teapot and tea cup (you can’t see much of it, but still cute) as well as the Framelits for the main focal image (came from the Blended Seasons Bundle).

I combined this stamp set with some of the other tea suite from the annual catty.

Well, I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Cactus Flower

Hiya stampin’ friends!

Today’s card is for the fun color combo challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the colors they gave us:

GDP177Love the bright and cheerful colors they chose! I decided to try to start making two cards each time I create. Here’s what I came up with:

This stamp set is the cutest!!!!! So much fun to create your own desert cactus!!!

I did use some retired embellishments to finish this card off…..but aside from that the card is pretty simple with just stamping! 😉

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a very blessed night ❤

Black & White Sympathy Card

Hey there Stamping Friends,

Today’s card is very sad for me. I had to make a sympathy card for my old neighbors when we lived in Georgia. She was such a dear sweet friend and I’m heartbroken that she passed away.

I’m entering this card for the challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the sketch they gave us for inspiration.

Here’s my take on it:

As you can see I flipped the main image to work with my stamp set. I also scooched my sentiment over a bit and it’s not as long as their example.

Here’s a close up:

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set called Rose Wonder. I heat embossed the floral image in white on black cardstock then fussy cut the image out.

Life is just way too short and in times like this, it reminds me to be grateful for every moment on earth as we are never guaranteed tomorrow. Please pray for the family as they go through their time of grief.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Playing with Butterflies

Hi Stampers!

I hope you all have been well. We’ve been sick in our house lately. As soon as one starts feeling a bit better, then another one gets sick…..the joys of a big family, gotta share everything, lol 😉 Hopefully it’s moving on now.

Anyways, I was just playing with the new Beauty Abound Bundle….love it! Here’s what I came up with:

50155011_613064539145628_8877865179434450944_n

I cut out twice in vellum and twice in cardstock and then alternated them to place one on top of each other. This die set it huge!

49914665_633578173728503_4509114863594766336_n

I decided to use the negatives from the cardstock piece. Using ink, just made a quick watercolor look on the main butterfly to give it some interest. For the cluster on top of each butterfly, I used some retired elements and embellishments from my stash!

50664969_230458481235657_7194539957078196224_n

Here’s some close up shots:

The rose centers were cut from some rose ribbon that SU! used to sell. I watercolored them with ink, I really miss these and have one pack left so I tend to hoard them, lol!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

A Challenging Card

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you had a blessed Christmas!!!! We did 😉

The title to this card is exactly how I feel about it, lol! It was a challenge from start to finish and took three days to complete, don’t let the simpleness of it’s looks fool you, lol! It’s for two challenges. The first challenge is a fun color combo challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the colors they gave us to work with:

cc718_292ae3cbad7663d2c4d73ca12f731ac007381d22

I originally stamped onto WW and embossed the image thinking I would use Blends…..but I decided to use watercoloring instead. That’s one reason it was a challenging card, but it’s my fault for not restamping onto watercolor paper to make the job of coloring a bit easier….here’s what I came up with:

49065375_1949141498473145_891797289830449152_n

The next challenge was over at Global Design Project. Here’s the fun sketch they gave us for inspiration:

GDP170

This stamp set has a matching framelit set that goes with it. After stamping and coloring I went to diecut it…..that’s where the other challenge came into play. I didn’t use washi tape to help make sure it didn’t shift during cutting which I usually do and you guessed it, it shifted! So, I had to fussy cut some areas and chop off some of the leaves cause they had holes in them, lol! Again, my fault…..it’s not like I don’t know these things, ugh!!!!!

Here’s a close up:

48921751_221928215382340_4134368371334447104_n

I almost threw this away and started over, I was just so frustrated…..we all have those crafting fails. But in the end, nobody would ever know…..so never give up, you never know how the end result will be 😉

Here’s another view:

48992182_2245309155740490_7359094001162518528_n

I used white on white, so you might not be able to see the sketch as is that way, so I dry embossed the white panel and added the lattice die cut to help differentiate it from the white base. I also wasn’t for sure if the ribbon would be Okay to replace the strip in the original sketch but after looking at some of the other samples, I decided to give it a go.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a safe and happy new year!!!! ❤
