Soft & Pretty Doily

Hiya Stampers,

YAY! Three posts within a few days is a record for me, lol. Trying to get better at blogging, it’s always been a struggle for me to balance life and blogging more πŸ˜‰

Today’s card is for the color challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. Here’s the soft and pretty colors they gave us to work with:

cc732_e35abf1255359198354b3dde1a140b40b7194d94Here’s what I came up with:

I inked up part of the flower stamp in Early Espresso and the top part in Powder Pink for easy masking. I am a lazy stamper, lol

Here’s a close up:

I love this beautiful stamp set and thinlit bundle, but I chose the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set….it was a bit easier to use the punch. Looks like the dies are not available right now, just proof if you like something…..get it while the gettin’s good πŸ™‚

Here’s another view:

I splattered some of the pink ink all over the card as an after thought and it did smear the brown ink a tad on the sentiment, but not bad enough to redo it, hehehehe….told you I was a lazy stamper, lol πŸ˜‰

Well, thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed day ❀

Cactus Flower

Hiya stampin’ friends!

Today’s card is for the fun color combo challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the colors they gave us:

GDP177Love the bright and cheerful colors they chose! I decided to try to start making two cards each time I create. Here’s what I came up with:

Here’s a close up:

This stamp set is the cutest!!!!! So much fun to create your own desert cactus!!!

Here’s another view:

I did use some retired embellishments to finish this card off…..but aside from that the card is pretty simple with just stamping! πŸ˜‰

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a very blessed night ❀

Birdie Card

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is a super simple stampin’ card. Stampin’ Up! is doing a #simplestamping challenge and this month’s theme is Valenetine’s Day.

I am also including this in another challenge. Over at Global Design Project they gave us this image to CASE:

I used the same stamp set as she did:

I used two stamp sets for my card with one layer. Here’s another view:

As you can see, this card is really simple….just stamping! I stamped off on the branches a couple of times here and there, but that’s it, easy peasy! πŸ˜‰

Well, thank you so much for stopping by, have a very blessed week ahead ❀

Cupcake Card

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Today’s card is for two challenges. The first challenge is for the Global Design Project. Here’s the fun theme they gave us for inspiration.

Here’s my take on it:

I used some fun new products from the Sale-a-bration catty from Stampin’ Up!

Here’s a close up:

The other challenge is from SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the color challenge they gave us:

I used two stamp sets, one stamp comes from the Forever Lovely….the small cluster of hearts behind the sentiment. Here’s another view of my card:

You can earn this Hello Cupcake stamp set for FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase!!!! Contact me for the hostess code for this month if you are interested.

A Challenging Card

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you had a blessed Christmas!!!! We did πŸ˜‰

The title to this card is exactly how I feel about it, lol! It was a challenge from start to finish and took three days to complete, don’t let the simpleness of it’s looks fool you, lol! It’s for two challenges. The first challenge is a fun color combo challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the colors they gave us to work with:

I originally stamped onto WW and embossed the image thinking I would use Blends…..but I decided to use watercoloring instead. That’s one reason it was a challenging card, but it’s my fault for not restamping onto watercolor paper to make the job of coloring a bit easier….here’s what I came up with:

The next challenge was over at Global Design Project. Here’s the fun sketch they gave us for inspiration:

This stamp set has a matching framelit set that goes with it. After stamping and coloring I went to diecut it…..that’s where the other challenge came into play. I didn’t use washi tape to help make sure it didn’t shift during cutting which I usually do and you guessed it, it shifted! So, I had to fussy cut some areas and chop off some of the leaves cause they had holes in them, lol! Again, my fault…’s not like I don’t know these things, ugh!!!!!

Here’s a close up:

I almost threw this away and started over, I was just so frustrated…..we all have those crafting fails. But in the end, nobody would ever know… never give up, you never know how the end result will be πŸ˜‰

Here’s another view:

I used white on white, so you might not be able to see the sketch as is that way, so I dry embossed the white panel and added the lattice die cut to help differentiate it from the white base. I also wasn’t for sure if the ribbon would be Okay to replace the strip in the original sketch but after looking at some of the other samples, I decided to give it a go.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a safe and happy new year!!!! ❀

Global Design Project #169

Hiya Stampers!

Long time no post πŸ˜‰ Sorry…life gets in the way, you know how the holidays can be…..

So anyhoo, today’s card is for the Global Design Project. They gave us a fun color combo:

Here’s my take on it:

I used some new goodies from 2019 Occasions Catalog.

Here’s a close up:

I used some retired Pool Party Baker’s Twine from my stash. Here’s another view:

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day ❀

Blueberry Christmas Tree

Hiya Stampers!

Long time no post, lol πŸ˜‰

Sorry, life gets in the way sometimes of my crafting fun. Cest-la-vie :0

Today’s card is for the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers! Here’s the fun color combo they gave us:

Here’s my take on it:

I did use some retired Cherry Cobbler ribbon, love it! I added the dessert option which was to add sparkle to your project. I added Wink of Stella splatters and Shimmery White embossing paste.

Here’s a close up:

I also added two pearl decorative pins in the ribbon from my stash to finish it off. I added dimensions under each pop out tree branch……on this angle that I took this particular pic you can see it peeking out, but you don’t see them otherwise πŸ˜‰

Here’s another view:

I just noticed that you can see the splatter on the ribbon too, lol! I actually had to do two coats of the shimmery white paste for good coverage, it made it super thickΒ  and dimensional. I used the Thinlits from the now retired Blended Seasons bundle. I thought it really made a difference in the way the card turned out.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend ❀
