Strawberry Card

Hiya Stampers!

I hope your week is going great so far. Today’s card is for the sketch over at Sunday Stamps. Here’s the sketch they gave us:

SSC186

Here’s my take on it:

40258764_603199316743771_9128589740788940800_n

I admit it, I was stumped at first and I almost gave up, lol. I looked at some of the others take on it and decided to give it a go. I kept to the sketch pretty closely and the rest of the card is fairly simple.

Here’s a close up:

I used some retired DSP and a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp called Sharing Sweet Thoughts. I masked the strawberries so I could stamp them twice and then watercolored them and finally added some glossy accents on top.

Coffee Card Challenge

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Today’s card is for the color challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. Here’s the color combo they gave us to work with:

colourlovers_com_cc702_30060e08edba675e3a6ca8ea3da4f803d10eea36

Here’s what I came up with:

40240024_262984827667130_6584020268736315392_n

This was my first time watercoloring using actual coffee! I just made a simple watercolor wash background with it, so fun!!! I did use some retired products……the baker’s twine, embossing folder and DSP is from years ago!

Here’s a close up:

40259676_273467559945010_3041620200358150144_n

It was a little hard figuring out how to add the vellum to the front of the coffee cup. I added a thin line of TomBow glue to the line of the top of the cup. It did blur the ink some, but it will have to do, lol!

Here’s another view:

40351935_234178257454396_2855530301193453568_n

The whip cream image was stamped off with Crumb Cake and I added Wink of Stella to it, but then covered it with the vellum so now it’s a little hard to see.

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Guest Designer at Global Design Project

Hiya Stampers!

Today is super exciting for me, I am the guest designer for Global Design Project #153!!! 😉  They gave us a really pretty color combo to use:

GDP153_Colour_Challenge

Here’s what I created:

38991984_664476460580264_3952844043880235008_n

I made a fun shaker card using the amazing limited-time Blended Seasons Bundle. The Framelits that are in this set made it a snap to put together! I used a piece of vellum for the bottom diecut and window sheet for the top. I added some sequins in the middle after using foam strip dimensionals to frame it up.

Here’s a close up:

39008907_518346628600942_874662019586850816_n

I really love this patterned paper from the Nature’s Poem DSP. It’s so very pretty, even though you don’t see much here in my example. I embossed the leaves and water colored them using the new set of watercolored pencils that are also a part of this bundle. I then curled each leaf with my bone folder and popped some of them up onto dimensionals.

Here’s another view:

39027502_307158276702283_4469855559679475712_n

I fussy cut the leaves out. It doesn’t take that long if you have some good music to listen to and Elvis kept me company 😉 (yes, I’ve always been a die hard E fan since I was 18 months old). And finally, I used several strips of retired ribbon stacked upon each other to finish off my card.

Well, I hope you like my sample and don’t forget to grab your Blended Seasons Bundle before time runs out…..only 4 more days til’ it’s gone forever!!!!! 😦

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

GDP #152

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. Today’s card is for the challenge over at Global Design Project. They gave us a pretty card to CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit:

GDP152_Janneke

Here’s what I came up with:

As you can see, I pretty much kept the layout…..changed up a little bit here and there. Instead of her flowers on the corner, I used the teacup. I had some polka dotted vellum from my stash that I used instead of the white panel.

Here’s a close up:

I also used a different diecut shape on top of the purple diecut and used a different stamp set as well……oh and I used some retired seam binding ribbon, it didn’t match exactly but I don’t mind so much.

Here’s another view:

I used the Gorgeous Grape watercolor pencil to lightly color in some on the teacup and blended it in with a blender pen. Anyhoo, that’s all I have to share today. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed day ❤

August 2018 Paper Pumpkin

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I haven’t been stamping as much lately, but I got my Paper Pumpkin today and was able to squeeze in a quick card! Love this month’s kit, super cute as always!!! Here’s a few pics of my simple card I was able to whip up.

39808031_318112172272480_3610437031861157888_n

It literally took me about 8 minutes to make this card! A few things that I did to alternate this from the instructions and supplies:

  1. added two card layers, white and Rich Razzleberry
  2. added sequins from my stash
  3. added some velvet ribbon

Everything else came in my monthly kit, easy peasy! 😉

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Mermaid card

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is for for two challenges. The first challenge is from Global Design Project. Here’s the theme they gave us:

Here’s what I came up with:

37133910_294196381175005_7620842880277413888_n

I did use some retired ribbon, but I have a ton of retired products that need to be used up 😉

The next challenge is a color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Since it was the 700th color challenge they gave us 5 different color combos to choose from! Here’s the color combo I chose to use:

Berry Burst
So Saffron
Pear Pizzazz

Here’s a close up:

39234607_481561195655650_4704688265297395712_n

I watercolored the mermaid and fussy cut her out and popped her up onto dimensionals.

39165880_204677580406633_7224777879756734464_n

I sponged the background diecut piece from Blended Seasons Bundle with Tranquil Tide and stamped on top of it with Old Olive.

I have been working on a sewing project lately so haven’t had much time for stamping….a crafer’s work is never done, lol 🙂

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day! ❤

First Frost Card

Hey Stampers!

Today’s card is for two challenges. The first challenge is a sketch challenge for Global Design Project. Here’s the sketch:

Here’s what I came up with:

The second challenge is a color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the pretty color combo they gave us to use:

Close up of the lovely flowers from this beautiful stamp set!!!

38914202_2118552555132936_2626001291775574016_n

I just used accents of the Berry Burst with the bottom layer and then the punched scalloped cardstock…..oh, as well as the sentiment stamped in Berry Burst. I used some bling to add some interest and pretty much stuck to the sketch.

38794499_1941061495955921_2374415104146931712_n

I frayed the ends of the Blackberry Bliss twine (matches close enough for me) after I made a bow and then added it on with liquid glue to make sure it stayed. I absolutely love, love, love this stamp set, well the whole suite actually!!!! I can guarantee that you will be seeing this bundle a lot, lol 🙂

Tomorrow is the last day for the Paper Pumpkin promotion where you get 50% off your first month!!!!! Click here to find out more, don’t miss out on this wonderful deal!!!!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

GDP #149

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is for the challenge over at Global Design Project. They gave us a pretty color combo to use.

GDP149_Colour_Challenge

Here’s what I came up with:

38534433_257411481534757_4340757754818854912_n

Yes, I used the Blended Seasons stamp set again, lol! I can’t help it, it’s so pretty as well as #1 it’s not going to be around for very long and #2 it was already on my desk from the last time I used it 😉

Here’s another view:

38469359_1885850091494193_3193064616980643840_n

The ribbon is from a bouquet of flowers my hubby gave me and I save everything. It’s not a perfect match, but good enough to work.

I will be very sad to see this bundle suite go, if you don’t have it yet….you better hurry up! It’s only here until August 31, 2018 and it’s while supplies last!!!!

38515508_2045631985468726_5891416097441185792_n

I took a piece of water colored paper and ink washed the navy ink all over it and distressed it with splatters of ink before die-cutting it out with those gorgeous framelits from the bundle. I heat embossed the flowers onto water colored paper and yes…..I fussy cut them out, doesn’t really take that long at all.

Well, I hope you like my card, thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed Sunday 😉
