Sunflower Card

Hiya Stampers!

Hope that you have been doing well. Everyone is doing great here. Today’s card is for the challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us to play with:

SC812

Here’s what I came up with:

116042710_914798365686453_4542494897505782514_n

I pretty much stayed with the sketch using the Flowers for Every Season Suite of products.

Here’s a close up:

115989085_609132183320825_4257025413060518423_n

I stamped the sunflower images from Celebrate Sunflowers in Early Espresso unto Bumble Bee cardstock, then I used blends to add some shading. I did the same with the leaves but stamped the leaves unto Just Jade cardstock using Shaded Spruce ink and blends.

Here’s another view:

116003498_578246383078513_4764326773337694148_n I kept the card pretty simple, just following the sketch given but adding the leaves for interest and the flag for the banner strip to the design. You can’t tell, but I added dots of gold Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers. I couldn’t get it to pick up in the pic.

Well, that’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a blessed day ❤

Purple Peonies

Hiya Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I hope you are doing good. Today’s card is for the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. This week they gave us several color combos to choose from, I may try a couple of more before the week’s up!!!!

cc800_bf7e665c18f77e4ec9e511b6f441ccebc7b44f50

I chose the top colors. Highland Heather, Mint Macron and Gorgeous Grape. Here’s the card I came up with:

108108352_3185692081489186_3929020968679276018_n

I also used white and black as my neutrals. I used the new Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Prized Peony and matching dies, lots of fun to play with. I clear embossed the black background with the large peony stamp in the stamp set and white embossed the sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia. Here’s some close ups:

Each layer of the diecuts is sponged and then curled using my bone folder to add some dimension.

Here’s another view:

108196009_2724102337691654_4370238658319788460_n

I added some clear faceted gems, then added some sparkle splatter with my clear Wink of Stella to finish it off. I kinda wish I didn’t add the wink of Stella now, but can’t travel back in time, lol 😉

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Purple Flowers

Hiya Peeps (blog peeps)!

Hope you are doing well on this early July the 4th weekend celebration!!! Today’s card is for the challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the color combo they gave us to work with:

colourlovers_com_cc798_7d67d7ee797c0cd75799c1e0085ace59c604abf7

Here’s what I came up with:

106274772_2339802226329277_1127672072961993463_n

I loved these bold colors together and I paired it with black. I think it really pops! Here’s some close ups:

It’s a fairly simple design due to the new pretty dies from Stampin’ Up! called Blossoms in Bloom bundle.

Here’s another view:

106963032_3121182937936269_7268628489987410937_n

I added some dimensionals to pop up the flowers after sponging the background and spritzing with water. I white embossed the sentiment from the stamp set bundle and just fussy cut it out. Lastly, I added black sequins from my stash to finish it off.

I also made a matching Bible Journaling Art page for John16:33.

107247061_1659257524234110_4181707238435578459_n

I just noticed that two of the flower centers need to be filled it, lol 😀 Look how different the stamped image looks when you don’t add the die cuts! Since there are two different diecuts that coordinate with this set, the possibilities are endless!!!

107488317_645169036348574_7053977759611377025_n

As you can see, I still need to journal in it, I’ll try to do that tonight.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by. Have a very blessed Independent Weekend Celebration and be careful. God Bless America ❤

Bible Art Journaling and matching card

Hey there blog peeps!

I hope you and yours are doing well. We are doing good here!

Today’s share is for a challenge over at Global Design Project.  Here’s the theme they gave us to use:

94887071_10219455656133599_7756362640498098176_o

Here’s what I came up with:

105393432_830846744107527_5894021848403634583_n

I combined this with another challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. I just found this Bible Art Journaling group there! I had forgotten how fun Bible Journaling can be. Here’s what I came up with:

106598833_306234220514644_6403534183595873714_n

I chose Micah 7:19 and carefully placed my card on top of my journaling because I forgot to take a picture before I wrote in it, lol 😉

I used Shimmery White Cardstock to do a watercolored wash on the card, but just sponged the background for the bible pages.

Here’s a close up:

106506968_737154887101068_2772505543547669033_n

I had saw a card like this a long time ago on Pinterest, so I went by memory cause I couldn’t find it. I’m sure I pinned it but I didn’t feel like digging around trying to find it…..I just remembered the twine and stamped images.

Well, that’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day ❤

Playing with Sunflowers

Hiya Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I hope you have been doing good. We have been here. Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. Truth be told it’s been a combination of things…..but mostly trying not to get too depressed with what is going on in our country. Satan likes us focusing on the negative to make us feel hopeless. My heart is breaking so I can only image how God feels. I’ve been in prayer and fasting for our nation. Please join me, America needs all the help she can get. This is spiritual warefare,  prayer and fasting is the only thing that can break it. We need to repent, we need to restore and we desperately need a revival! ❤

OK, I won’t bring too much a doom and gloom here, this is my happy place! I really need to escape to it more often 😉

Today’s card is for two challenges over at SplitCoast Stampers. The first is the color challenge. Here’s the color combo they gave us:

cc797_966dc9f4c9488b7c4bec05a6ac89427005baf9ae

The fourth color I’ll admit through me for a loop, lol. I also used a neutral color, which is allowed. Here’s what I came up with:

105034371_950678348689672_1079802484311256508_n

I used watercolor paper to make a fun splash of color for the background using the watercolor smooshing technique (or whatever it’s called). Here’s a close up:

105937970_270378584036028_8740791594613656042_n

The second challenge is the sketch challenge also at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us to go by:

SC807

Here’s what I came up with:

105040281_1425786790950125_7802045977143729050_n

As you can see, I did stick to the sketch with using the sunflower as my main image in the corner….but I took the liberties and added a punched out sentiment as well as ribbon behind it. Oh, and the leaves too! I hope I didn’t bend the rules too much, lol 😀

Well, that’s it for now. Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you liked my card. Stay well and have a blessed weekend ❤

Finally, time to make a card

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

I’m sorry that I’ve been MIA lately. This quarantine pandemic had me cleaning, organizing, baking, gardening and spending time with family to pass the time.  I hope you all have been doing well. We’ve all been good here, no sickness in my house…..but my sister and her family as well as my dad were sick. Everyone is doing better now, thank the Lord.

These are some strange Twilight Zone times we are living in, huh? Crazy I tell ya’…..but without my faith in Jesus, I think I would have been living in fear. But I don’t doubt God for one minute and my faith is in Him, not man.

Anyhoo, I made this card for the color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers.

Here’s the color combo they gave us to use.

cc780_86770dbf530c097917f95131e461890968d64d94

Here’s what I came up with:

96150309_886468165201627_3377807927933927424_n

I loved these colors together. I used the To a Wild Rose stamp set and I did use some retired ribbon. I cut the ribbon down the middle to get it to be more narrow and it frayed, it was a nice surprise! So I used both pieces to make a double bow.

Here’s a close up:

95510505_186956402363930_2342834123720097792_n

The sentiment is from Best Dressed stamp set. I just fussy cut it out and added a little hole, then tied it on the bow with twine.

Here’s another view:

96465762_257653892260286_893665166812512256_n

I stamped on the Flirty Flamingo cardstock to add interest to the background. I decided not to stamp the outline rose from this stamp set on the main diecut images. I think I might like it better without, it gives it a softer artsy look. Makes it more realistic looking to me.

Well, that’s it for now. Thank you for stopping by. Stay safe and well during this crazy time and pray for the world. Have a blessed day ❤

Sending Hugs

Hiya stampers!

I hope you all have been doing well. So far we are doing well 😉

Today’s card is for the challenge over at Global Design Project. Here’s the sketch they gave us:

230

Here’s my take on it:

87988189_199546191395472_1917743210227040256_n

As you can see, I changed up a little bit on it, but for the most part it’s still the same. I changed the shape slightly, used ribbon in place of the sentiment since that was my focal point and placed my sequins in a couple different spots. I’m a rebel like that, lol 😀

Here’s a couple close-ups:

I also decorated the inside of the card as well as the envelope, I’ll be honest…..I don’t always do that. I’m trying to remember to do that this year!

88220144_2562079893898183_2397610762223747072_n

Here’s another view:

87887668_218204125968654_6407462546973917184_n

I used the new Sale-a-bration stamp set from the second release called Tags in Bloom as well as the matching punches. Loving this set so far. I used some retired DSP from last year’s mini catty as well as some vellum layered over top.

I stamped the inside with the Well Said stamp set from the annual catty. The colors I used to color with are Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green.

I also used Whisper White and Very Vanilla, which I don’t think I’ve ever done together before.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed evening ❤

Poppy Parade Stamp Class

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you all have been doing good. I have been busy getting ready for my first class since we moved! I chose to do watercoloring on diecuts using the Peaceful Poppies Suite Bundle.

We will be creating a simple card, letting the diecut poppies be the star!

card flat

Here’s some close-ups:

We will also create a treat box using a retired die.

Here’s a close-up:

treat box close up

The last thing we will make will be a 6X6 Progressive scrapbook page:

6x6 page

I will show them how to take a 6X6 page and make it a 8 1/2X 11 page:

progressive page

Then show them how to turn the 8 1/2 X 11 into a full 12X12 scrapbook page:

12x12 page

Still not quite finished with the 12X12 page yet, I couldn’t find my Poppy sequins and my craft room was a huge disaster. So, after I clean it up, I’ll finish it and post the finished one on my Instagram.

Here’s a close-up:

I had a lot of fun playing with this bundle! Here’s a  look at everything all together:

everything straight on

If you live in the Houston, TX area and would like to attend this class for FREE, contact me today!!!!! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a class, so wish me luck. Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed week! ❤

Under My Umbrella

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you had a fabulous Valentines’s Day. We did. Hubby and I went out to eat the night before, we’re smart like that, lol. He bought me a cute card, chocolates and roses today, even though I tell him every year not too. I also got my Stampin’ Up! order in and I was obviously more excited about that, lol 😉

Today’s card is for the sketch challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us to work with:

SC788022020CC (1)

Here’s what I came up with:

1

This stamp set is too cute, it’s called Under My Umbrella. It’s in the Occasions Mini catty right now. It has a matching punch which makes it super easy and fun to use. There’s also some matching DSP from the add-on coordinating product release which really makes it easy!

Here’s a close up:

3

I used the paper to just punch out the umbrellas, then used black cardstock to punch out the umbrella handles. I colored in and fussy cut the flowers and the rain boots out, then popped everything up with dimensionals.

Here’s another view:

2

I used my Wink of Stella for the rain drops and rainbow stripes. I was squeezing the sides and a big blob landed on it then I got some on my fingers which I didn’t know,  and accidentally smeared some on the card. So then I kinda went crazy and started splattering and adding more Wink of Stella to hide my mistakes.

Well, I hope you liked my card. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a very blessed Valentine’s weekend ❤
