Everything is still Rosy

Hey Bleeps!

I know that I said it would be awhile until I would be able to share a card due to us moving and all…..but I had to make my sister a birthday card! All my ready made cards are packed and half my craft room too. Luckily, I still had my box with the Everything is Rosy bundle kit still out.

I love this kit even though it’s no longer available. It was super quick to put together.

Here’s a close up:

I didn’t follow any sketch as I just threw together parts of the kit and some die cut pieces that were from another project.

Here’s another view:

Well, I better go to sleep now since we gotta go to deep clean the new house tomorrow morning. Thursday the movers will be here bright and early.

I can’t wait til’ we’re all settled. Moving and packing is the worst…..but organizing and setting up house is fun 😉

Thank you so much for stopping by, have a blessed evening ❤

Sympathy Rose

Hey there stampers!

Today’s card is for the sketch challenge at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s what they gave us to work with:

SC752 Color

Here’s what I came up with:

I used some fun new product from the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I pretty much followed the sketch. I added the rose on top of the square from the sketch image.

Here’s a close up:

I added some glitter to the middle of the flower, it doesn’t show up in the pics but you can see it in real life. I got my last SU! order to my current home yesterday and it had this stamp set inside. LOVE IT!!!!! After today, everything is being packed up…..next time you see a blog post from me, it will be in our new home, yay! It might be a couple of weeks though so please be patient with me 😉

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed day ❤

Rosy Sketch

Hiya Stampers!

I hope you all have been doing well. We’ve been so busy here. We just bought a house and we are closing on Tuesday, so been super busy with packing. I am excited to set up my new craft room soon!!!! Been shopping for just the right stuff for organization and furniture. I will definitely be sharing my craft room once it’s all put together. I might even do a video. I haven’t done a video in years. In fact, I went back not long ago and hid most of them from the public, lol. They were so bad 😉

For today’s card I’m doing a sketch from SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us to work with:

Here’s what I came up with:

As you can see, I used the Everything Is Rosy Bundle. It only has 30 more minutes until you cannot purchase it anymore!!!

I will admit it, this sketch challenge was a definite challenge for me. Every card I tried out looked so busy and way too, too much….if you get my drift, lol. Finally, I was at least more happy with this card then any other ones. I did enlarge the vellum circle die cut from the sketch a tad, but it just felt too busy other wise…..I wanted to tone down all the patterned papers.

Here’s a close up:

I really do love this kit and hope that Stampin’ Up! will do more bundles like this!!!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and please stay tuned for the stamp room reveal!!!

Have a very blessed weekend ❤

A Fish for Father’s Day

Hey stampin’ friends!

I hope you are doing well! I’ve been busy, busy but I knew that I should probably get my father’s day cards done or I wouldn’t be able to with the busy schedule I’ve got right now.

Today’s cards are similar, following the sketch inspiration and stamp set found on page 44 of the 2019 Occasions Stampin’ Up! catty.

I’m also entering one of the cards for a color challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the color combo they gave us:

Here’s the card that I came up with:

Here’s the other card:

On both cards I used a simple watercoloring wash, sloppy water coloring and splatter techniques. When the images were still damp I molded the shapes with my bone folder and they are really sturdy using the watercolor paper and it gave them so much dimension too!

Here’s a view of both cards side by side:

Using different colors, but the same stamp set can give similar….. yet different looks! so fun how that happens! Don’t you just love this hobby?

Here’s some close ups, hopefully the dimension picks up:

I hope they can still be mailed easily cause they are so stiff, lol!

Here’s another view:

Well, that’s all for today. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed day ❤

Don’t worry, everything’s rosy

Hiya Stampers!

Today’s card is for the sketch challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers. Here’s the sketch they gave us:

Here’s what I came up with:

I used the diecut flowers from the Everything is Rosy bundle from Stampin’ Up! as my focal point circle image they used in the sketch to make sort of a wreath.

Here’s a close up:

I cut the frame-shaped diecut in half and added the stamped sentiment on top of it with dimensionals.

Here’s another view:

This kit is so beautiful with tons of elements that all coordinate together. I added the shimmer pen to the pink leafy vine diecut, then added that on top of the rose gold paper. Using the kit made it so easy to put this card together. If you love this bundle, hurry up and get it while you can. It’s only available until May 31st  and only while supplies last!!!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed evening! ❤

Rosy Birthday

Hiya Stampers!
I finally got to play with the Everything is Rosy Medley kit!!!! We were so busy this weekend I had to wait, but it was so worth it!!!
I used this card from the Global Design Project as my inspiration:
GDP188 - May 6
Here’s what I came up with:
As you can see, I pretty much used the sketch as my starting point…..as well as the Framelits and of course the flower image that was used.
Here’s a close-up:
I used the diecuts that come in the kit to quickly put this card together. It literally took about ten minutes once I saw the sample card they gave us to work with.
Here’s another view:

I used the glitter pen to paint the centers of the flowers but it’s hard to tell. I really love love love this kit! The colors and stamp set and everything is so divine! It’s only around until May 31st and while supplies last, which means to hurry up and get it, lol 😉

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week ❤
