Global Design Project #143

Hey there stampers!

I am doing another fun challenge over at Global Design Project. It’s basically do whatever you love challenge…..so, since I haven’t gotten to play with the new incolors or this stamp set yet, I decided that it fits perfectly.

GDP143_Theme_Love it

I love the colors and stamp set, so win, win….yay me!!!!!

Now I’m not the best water-colorist out there, I just have fun and try not to over think it. I fussy-cut the image cause I colored outside the lines, lol 😉

While making cards lately, I realized that most all my SU! ribbons are retired. So I used some from my stash (this particular ribbon came from flowers my hubby got for me….anyone else save stuff like that to reuse in your crafts?).

I am doing a June 2018 Paper Pumpkin give away right now, so please check it out. Good luck! Well, thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a blessed day 😉

Paper Pumpkin Give Away!

Hiya Stampers!

Today it’s all about the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin!!!!! I love this kit, the colors are bright and happy! Here’s a video showing you all the fun stuff you get in your kit!

This particular kit coordinates with the fun Broadway Bound Suite from the Annual Catalog!!!! Here’s the two different cards that you can make with this kit. According to the instructions, you can make 8 cards total like this.

36002413_10211494403906715_5138030815988416512_n

….but as you can see, I went rogue and made my own style after making two per the directions. I am always a rebel, lol 😉

Here’s my leftovers that I had. The only thing I added after making the first two cards like the directions suggest is thick Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist cardstocks.

Okay, so unto my give away! I would love to give some lucky crafter the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit! Just leave me a comment on this post telling me what your favorite thing about making handmade cards is. The only stipulation is you cannot be a current SU! demonstrator, other than that…..GOOD LUCK!!!!

I will also send the lucky winner of this awesome kit a FREE SU! Annual Catalog, if you DO NOT already have a current SU! demo.

I will pick a winner on Sunday, July 1st 2018!!!

Color Challenge

Hiya Stampers!

I am participating in a fun color challenge over at Sunday Stamps!

SSC181

I love the color combo here! I used Lemon Lime Twist, Lovely Lipstick and Mint Macaron on Whisper White Cardstock. This is a basic simple stamping on the cardstock, nothing too fancy.

This is an oldie but goodie retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called “Oh Hello”.  I haven’t used it in a long time and I really do love it!

I also used some retired bakers twine that matched pretty good.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day 😉

Sketch Challenge

Hey Bleeps! (blog peeps)

I am doing another challenge, this time it’s a fun sketch! Come and play along with Global Design Project 142!

gdp142

I just stamped the dots at the bottom as the layer instead of using paper. I love the Share What You Love paper, so I wanted that to be the star of this card!

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto basic black cardstock. I had cut out the butterfly and attached it to the oval a couple of weeks ago. So when I saw this sketch, I thought it would be a great way to use it and replace the circle shape.  I kept the rest of the card pretty simple due to the busy DSP.

I hope you like it. Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Father’s Day to all the hard workin’ daddy-o’s out there! Blessings 😉

Watercolor Splash Background Color Challenge

Hiya!

I am going to try my hand at challenges again, it’s been a long time……so bear with me! I searched around at blog hops and challenges and came across this one at Global Design Project #141 .

GDP141_Colour_Challenge

Their color challenge is using Real Red, Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie. You may not be able to tell, but yes…..I did use all three colors on the watercolor splashing. I kept messing with it, so they started blending too much…..hopefully it’s not my first challenge fail, lol!!!!

I used white embossing powder for the rose image from Petal Palette stamp set. It was fun using my Aqua Painter to make all the splashes of color for the background! Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day! 😉

Mermaid Shaker Card

Hiya stampers!

I created a shaker card with the Share What You Love Bundle Suite and Magical Mermaid stamp set. I recently watched two different videos with the Mermaid stamp set, one was a shaker card and the other was a pop-up card…..so I combined the two!

Here’s the outside:

The inside uses the Lovely Laurel Thinlits, which are retiring sadly. Trying to get good pics proved hard to do.

Here’s the inside of the card

My Stampin’ Up! Journey Begins, Again!

Hi Stampin’ Friends,
Some of you may know me from my old blog, http://helloholley.blogspot.com/

My last blog post over there was from 2015! Over the years I have lost my mojo and started and stopped with Stmpin’ Up! twice! I joined another stamp company briefly, but honestly the quality with SU! is superior to anything out there….so that didn’t last long. Life got in the way and quite frankly blogging became more of a headache and just wasn’t fun anymore. I am not very technical whatsoever and don’t really want to spend $400+ on having someone do my blog. I’d much rather spend my hobby money on crafting goodies instead, lol!
Anyways, I’ve gotten to the point of really missing all the fun I had with blog hops and getting together with other crafty friends. So, I decided to rejoin Stampin’ Up! My 15 year old son is helping me set up my blog…..so stay tuned! Here’s one of my latest cards with some new product!
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day 😉
